Taylor + Adam Creative Back Yard Black Tie
The moment I met Taylor and Adam, I feel in love with the fact that they had ideas that were fresh and unique from other weddings in the area. Plus we just clicked personality wise and I understood exactly what they were wanting which was SO refreshing!
Let me tell ya a little about them...
Taylor is creative, fashionable, vibrant and full of life.
Adam is an intelligent engineer, thoughtful, sophisticated and modern.
When they told me that they wanted me to help them design their wedding and coordinate the day of, I knew I had to convince them to hire me! LOL
I always joke about how cool they are! I’m such a nerd for saying that but they really are! Adam asked Taylor to be his girlfriend at a 90’s themed party in college and proposed to her in ITALY . Taylor being, basically an undiscovered fashion blogger in my eyes! I totally creep on her Instagram to keep up with the latest fashion trends because I love her style! She also paints some pretty amazing art and founded a nonprofit organization! I truly ADORE these two. Helping to design and plan their wedding was so much fun.
Taylor told me that she loved the movie "Father of the bride". And wanted her wedding to evoke that. The perfect setting was at Adam's parents house in The Woodlands TX. Where cafe lights were strung across the yard giving that warm glow and chill ambiance.
They also wanted it to me chic and modern. Which is where the black tie affair comes in. Everyone was dressed to perfection, and Taylor crafted up some amazing decor that correlated with that sophisticated theme. Including acrylic table numbers and seating chart!
They hired the "Tipsy Poet" Ron Dillon for his poetry. He had the coolest set up and was live with his typewriter, creating poetry on the spot.
We had fresh blooms that lines the tables, with candles going on the way down as well.
The flowers and candles felt like a garden style wedding but has that modern feel with all of the glass and acrylic that polished it.
Oh and did I mention, the napkins were all hand made and embroidered by Beenish. Each guest had a custom napkin with their name on it which served as a guest favor as well as a seating "card".
Taylor has Italian roots so she wanted to incorporate that in some way. They served gourmet pizzas which was amazing in itself! Gourmet pizza at a wedding!!! YES! Instead of a traditional wedding cake, they served a massive Italian wedding cake which was SO fun!
Their favorite band, Chicken and Waffles played the night away, while DJ Sterling did the MC. Both were AMAZING!
At the end of the night, we sent them off as a married couple and they headed straight to the airport for their THAILAND HONEYMOON! I mean, seriously! And can we just talk about Taylor's White pant suit!!!!! I told you people, this girl is CHIC and stylish!
Taylor and Adam! I seriously can't thank you enough for allowing me to be a part of such a sacred day for you. I had such a great time meeting your family and all of your friends. What a remarkable crowd of support and love you both have in your lives. Pretty sure I almost cried 3 times at your wedding, and I NEVER cry!
I don't even need to wish you good luck, I know this is a marriage that will be full of laughter and love and TRAVEL!!! My fav!
Warmest wishes to you both, I will forever miss our fun chats and the endless unique ideas that I didn't even mention here.
